Whew

Well sorry that it has been a little while since I have posted, but with the holidays and a new baby I hope you understand. Speaking of new baby taking care of Jonah and Kaelyn is definitely a full time job right now!! It seems like when one gets finished eating and being changed then the other one is hungry and needs my attention. Plus lately they both seem to be spitting up. The past two mornings Kaelyn has drank her morning bottle then she coughs quite a bit and throws up at least half of her milk. Both mornings I have had to change my clothes. Anyway one of these times I'll put on some pictures form Christmas. Oh, and one final random thing not related to babies. Did you know that your nose and ears never stop growing. Next time you look at your grandparents think about it.:)

1st doctor appointment

Today we took Jonah in for his ten day doctor's appointment. When we left the hospital Jonah only weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. Now we are happy to announce that he is weighing in at 9 lbs 12 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. The doctor jokingly thought that there was something wrong with the scale until she picked him up. Anyway I guess that means he's eating well. :) Oh, yeah while we were at the doctor Kaelyn received a booster flu shot, was prescribed an antibiotic for her cough that she has had for almost a month, and I (Kara) received a flu shot. Let's just say it was a one stop medical pit stop, and we only had to pay ten dollars total. Well, Kaelyn is waking up from her nap, and it's almost time for supper!!!

So sleepy

Today Jonah is one week old. So far he seems to be a pretty good baby. He tends to be awake a little bit more than Kaelyn was, and he eats more often than Kaelyn ever did. So at night he wakes me up fairly often to eat. Kaelyn loves her baby brother and always wants to know where he is. This morning he was sleeping in the bedroom and Kaelyn kept crawling to go see him. She was very upset when we wouldn't let her in the bedroom. I'll leave you with a few pictures.

Welcome Home Jonah!

Here are some pictures ranging from the day before Jonah was born to the day we came home from the hospital. Enjoy!

Kaelyn is having fun with Mommy while she is trying to get Jonah to rotate from the posterior position to the anterior position the day before he was born.

Here is a picture of the now infamous Pizza Hut outing the day Jonah was born.

We are finally on our way home!

It's a boy! Jonah Levi

It's a boy! Jonah Levi Thoman - born @ 9:15 pm - 8 lbs 10 oz - 20 inches

Still Pregnant

For those of you who are wondering I am still pregnant, and my due date it tomorrow. However, if any of you know Becky Hostetler she was due today and had her baby today. His name is Evan Andrew and he weighed 9 lbs 10 oz and was 21 inches long. I am very happy for her. It's proof that I can't be pregnant forever. :) Yesterday I had an appointment with the midwife, and she informed us that I am still dilated 4 cm, but now I am 75% effaced. She also told us that she thinks I will go sometime this week but that sometimes she is wrong. Today I went out to lunch with my mom and one of her coworkers to Pizza Hut. The reason I am telling everyone this is because the day I went into labor with Kaelyn we all went to Pizza Hut.:) Anyway it probably won't work but hey it's worth a shot. Oh, yeah a note to Joy about my last posting. I was maybe exagerating a little bit on how long it takes to roll over at night, but it sure feels like it takes five minutes to roll over sometimes. Well, we'll keep you all posted.

Cell Phone Postings

The previous post Jeff sent from his cell phone which was why it was so short. It takes a lot longer to type a message on a phone than the computer. However, whenever I do go into labor Jeff should be able give everyone updates from his cell phone.

Well I think I have finally reached the point that I am tired of being pregnant and I am ready to have this child come out. So, what's so horrible about being 39 1/2 weeks pregnant?
1. I have to go to the bathroom all the time!!
2. It's really hard to bend over and pick things up especially if I am holding Kaelyn.
3. It takes five minutes to roll over when I sleep at night.
There are more but Kaelyn has woken from her nap and is crying for my attention.

Well, my birthday is here and still no baby. We all have colds thanks to Thanksgiving and Kaelyn. Any way, I should go, so bye.
